We are currently looking for a Navigation Ground Systems Engineer to support our customer in the Netherlands. Navigation Ground Systems Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities In this role you will be working in ESAs Directorate of Technical and Quality Management DTEC at ESTEC and providing support to the Galileo Programme. You will have the following responsibilities Support and followup the procurements actions and industry contracts with regard to the implementation of elements in the Ground Mission Segement GMS operational chain Support the evaluation of contractors GMS element designs as part of the GMS operational chain Contribute to all GMS and system reviews and meetings for all topics related to GMS operational chain activities Contribute to the GMS overall engineering activities e.g. requirements engineering, change management and baseline evolutions Support the assessment of the overall GMS operability and integrated logistic support ILS aspects of the GMS functions Support the Integration, Verification and Qualification IVQ activities in the area of the Operability Chain Facilities Support the definition and preparation of test cases. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or equivalent in telecommunications, electrical engineering, physics or aerospace engineering Experience in Radio Navigation systems and equipment design and testing Experience with GNSS navigation performance Experience in the implementation, maintenance and operation of complex Radio Navigation simulation and test facilities Experience in project management and industrial procurement Fluency in English is mandatory, knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
