This vacancy note concerns an onsite consulting position at ESOC in Darmstadt, Germany. Navigation POD Engineer 1623152 Job Description We are looking for a Navigation POD Engineer who will be primarily involved in the POD Services Team. The support to be provided is primarily related to LEO POD, NAV POD Concepts for FF and satellite constellations and POD related to GNSS Space Service Volume extension. Your tasks will also include Updateproduction of specific deliverable documentation e.g. Technical Notes, software documentation, design documentation, interface definitions in liaison with other ground segment teams, etc. as needed Contribution to different documents on request Services and products project specific Required Skills and Experience a very good knowledge in GNSS, SLR and DORIS tracking systems and data processing. a very good knowledge in POD algorithms and software development. a very good knowledge in modelling of satellite dynamics and signal propagation effects a very good knowledge in the area of GNSS Space Service Volume extension activities a proficiency in Unix andor Linux, shell scripting languages, Fortran 77 andor 95, C andor C. an ability to develop solutions to technical mathematical and dynamical problems in cooperation with customers and other experts a willingness to take operational responsibility in multidiscipline teams Fluency in English, both in speech and writing Desirable Skills and Experience Familiarity with the ESOC environment Familiarityexperience with Navigation operations engineering tasks Experience dealing with external interfaces Experience with OracleSolaris andor Linux, network services and protocols, and system The ability to multitask efficiently working on multiple activities, multiple subsystems and if Work Location Darmstadt, Germany Dates Application Deadline 13 September 2016 Start of Work October 2016 Important Notes Before applying to this position, please read the page Notes to Applicants on the Solenix website under Career.
