Netflix acquires ABQ Studios, to open New Mexico production hub

(Telecompaper) Netflix announced that it's acquiring ABQ Studios in Albuquerque, New Mexico, as part of a plan to bring USD 1 billion in production to the state over the next ten years and create up to 1,000 production jobs a year. ABQ Studios, with 8 sound stages and over 170,000 square feet of space, has been used to film shows including The Avengers, Logan, Better Call Saul, The Lone Ranger and Sicario.
