Thorn SDS is seeking an experienced engineering technician with a proven background in technical network operations and maintenance, gained in a Telecommunications, IT, Broadcasting or Satellite ground station environment. Combining a solid theoretical knowledge of communication and network principles with extensive and varied experience in operations and maintenance, the key candidate must be able to apply their skills and experience to a busy 247 satellite ground segment Network operations centre, providing excellence in planned operations, incident management, and operational breakfix. Candidates must have an excellent working knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written. A university degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline would be considered to be advantageous
