New Mexico Couple in Snowdrift for 20 Hours Before Rescue

A New Mexico couple was buried in a 12-foot snowdrift at the side of a country road for almost 20 hours before they were rescued, but they stayed in contact with a city worker via phone almost the entire time. Betty Anderson, 55, was hospitalized with chest pains but was released from Plains Regional Medical Center on Monday, while Jimmy Anderson, 54, said he wasn't injured, reported the Clovis News Journal .
