Eco Flow Transportation hired 80 drivers during its first month and plans to build a staff of 500 in its first year. A newly formed short-haul trucking company serving the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach will give all of its drivers full employment status, rather than treat them as independent contractors, company and union officials said today.
