BusinessGreen: The New Zealand government has been branded "a disgrace" by green campaigners after watering down its 2020 carbon reduction target.
The government had previously indicated it would reduce its greenhouse gas levels by 10-20 per cent based on 1990 levels by the end of the decade. But Climate Change Minister Tim Groser today confirmed the target would be just five per cent.
