Taxpayers may be able to save some money on landfill maintenance after the Wexford County Board of Commissioners approved a proposal to amend the Remedial Action Plan addressing landfill groundwater contamination in Cedar Creek Township. The board approved amending the county's contract with environmental consulting group Pescador LLC to include operation and maintenance of several wells, evaluation of a water cleaning system, removing duplicate monitoring wells and oversight of landfill waste relocation.
