New car sales in alarming decline

THERE was a bloodbath in the showroom last month, with South Africa's new vehicle sales falling by 4.8 percent year-on-year to 50 251 units, data from the Department of Trade and Industry showed yesterday. Exports, however, grew 33.8 percent year on year to 31 422 units.
