New car sales in the UK rose 9.3% last year compared with 2013

Would-be buyers of cars expect to pay less for a new model but much more for a used one in the coming weeks compared with the last six months. Around 23% of people are thinking of a car purchase in the period from now until August 2015, a survey from Sainsbury's Bank showed.
