Michael Peevey, president of the California Public Utilities Commission, recused himself from a case involving PG&E, but is under fire nonetheless. The California Public Utilities Commission has named a new judge to oversee a $1 billion rate case involving Pacific Gas & Electric , in the wake of a scandal over "back-door" email communications between CPUC officials and executives at the giant San Francisco-based utility.
