New traffic shift planned as Verrazano Bridge enters second construction phase

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority announced that, beginning Saturday, Aug. 29, new traffic shifts will be in place to facilitate the second stage of the bridge's upper-deck replacement project. Upper-level lane closures in both directions will be needed on Friday night, Aug. 28, to allow for the transition.
