With 5G turning into a geopolitical battlefield, it seems it is never too soon to begin work on the next generation of mobile technology. This certainly appears to be the mindset of the industry standards group ATIS (Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions), who launched their Next G Alliance back in October last year.
