Nike employees look to be getting their own private sports field in Hillsboro

A Portland architectural firm has applied to build a sports facility in Hillsboro for Nike, but only Nike employees will be able to use it, according to a city spokeswoman. TVA Architects submitted a land-use application to build a "sports field, picnic areas, walkways, a storage structure and trash enclosure along with landscaping and site lighting" for "Nike employees working in nearby office buildings," city documents show .
