Noble cuts back on drilling in the Marcellus Shale

Houston-based Noble Energy Inc. confirmed it will cut its natural gas rigs in the Marcellus Shale joint venture it shares with Consol Energy Inc. , which is based in the Pittsburgh area. Noble , like many natural gas companies, is finding rough sledding thanks to low commodity prices.
