Northern California braced for the return of downpours and strong winds in the wake of a powerful storm that downed trees and power lines and led to dozens of flight cancellations at San Francisco's airport. The next storm system was forecast to hit Sunday morning, bringing wind gusts as high as 50 mph and up to 3 inches of additional rain on coastal hills and another 1.5 inches on Bay Area cities.
