Nucor Corp. to acquire cold drawn bar assets from Gerdau Long Steel

Steelmaker Nucor Corp. of Charlotte, N.C., has agreed to acquire the so-called Bright Bar assets of Gerdau Long Steel in Orrville, Ohio, and Cartersville, Ga., the company announced in a Nov. 9 news release . Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
