Nvidia introduces Tegra Note tablet

(Telecompaper) Nvidia has unveiled its own tablet computer to highlight its chip technology. The Tegra Note running the Android OS will be available in the coming months for USD 199 with a range of partners, including EVGA and PNY Technologies in North America; EVGA, Oysters and ZOTAC in Europe; Colorful, Shenzhen Homecare Technology and Zotac in Asia-Pacific; and Xolo in India. The 7-inch tablet runs the Tegra 4 processor with a 72-core GeForce GPU and quad-core Cortex-A15 CPU. It also features Nvidia's DirectStylus technology to control the device with a touch stylus pen, and the Nvidia PureAudio technology to improve sound over the stereo speakers. It comes with 16 GB storage and a microSD card slot, as well as micro HDMI port, 5 megapixel rear camera and a VGA front webcam. Nvidia is also providing the SmugMug Camera Awesome app, with features like tap-to-track and 100 fps video with slow-motion playback, and TegraZone gaming, with access to exclusive games optimised for its processor. Further software updates will be provided over the air.
