OSA to host incubator meeting on levitated optomechanics.

On Dec 3–4, 2015, The Optical Society will host an incubator meeting on Levitated Optomechanics to discuss innovative technologies surrounding nano-optomechanics. Meeting will seek to address questions surrounding optically levitated nano-particle systems, such as: what new theoretical challenges are presented in understanding this nonconventional nano-optomechanical platform and what the prospects are for hybrid quantum systems based on this modality.
