Olymel pork processing plant in St-Hyacinthe discontinuing ham deboning

Olymel, Canada’s leader in the production, processing and distribution of pork and poultry meats, has announced that it will cease ham deboning operations at the firm’s plant in St-Hyacinthe, Quebec. Though the company will maintain 70 positions by continuing the rendering operations for lard production at this facility, as well as frozen product storage operations, the loos the deboning operations will result in the elimination of 340 positions. read more
