RHEA is currently recruiting an On board Software Production Engineer to support the Data Processing OnBoard Software department at our clients premises in Stevenage, UK. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Production development activities associated with Software detailed design Code and unit test activities Software integration activities. Supporting software validation testing when applicable. Developing validation tests that exercise prove adherence to requirements Analysingdebugging nonconformance Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory Engineering degree in software, computer science or similar At least 3years relevant experience in realtime embedded Software engineering domains design, codetest, integration, validation. Software process oriented. Disciplined quality mindset onquality, onschedule, oncost Excellent software problem solving skills diagnostic approach solutionoriented Good communication skills in English verbal written Excellent knowledge of RTOS for realtime embedded systems realtime multitasking. Development environments methodology e.g. Cygwin, UML, HOOD. Formal software development validation. Production of detailed design specifications. Proficiency in ANSICcode development unittest integration. Proficient use of debuggers gdb, Configuration and requirements management using Clearcase, Clearquest, Reqtify, DOORS or similar The following skills would be highly desirable Experience in the satellitespace, avionics or similar industry. ECSS software engineering standards Q80B, E40. ERC32 LEON SPARC processor. MILSTD 1553B, andor spacewire. Data transport packet protocols CCSDS. Good appreciation of Spacecraft systems knowledge electrical systems thermal sensors actuators propulsion technology navigation sensors, algorithms and instruments other instruments MISRA standards How to Apply Looking to take your career to the next level?
