GENERAL ENVIRONMENT Part of the Eiffage Group 70 000p, 18b, which is a key player on Ground Segment for Aeronautics Space in Europe, Clemessy Netherlands BV is a Services Center that has been recently created to provide Maintenance Engineering Support to our main customers Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance Engineering RAMS ILS and AITOperations Support. For our customer, the European Space Agency ESA, we are currently looking for an Optical Instrument Image Processing Engineer to work at ESTEC, the ESA Technical Center in Noordwijk NL. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES In the TECEFD section, the main tasks are to provide ESA with functional support in the field of OnBoard Payload Data Processing Engineering covering algorithmic and hardware definition, development and validation, and involving software, hardware and system constraints. The assignment is to provide expert technical support to address processing functions focusing on payload performance image quality, data compressionreduction and data analysis Analysis of systemlevel needs and definition of specifications for optical payload processing functions Definition, design, development, performance evaluation and verification of image processing functions and algorithms via simulation techniques e.g. Matlab, Python, prototyping SW Design, verification and validation of payload image processing chains Support to HWSW optimization and implementation of payload data processing functions on processors e.g. uCuP, DSP, GPU, AI accelerators and FPGA based platforms SPECIFIC COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS High degree organizational and communication abilities. Comfortable with working in a diverse and multinational team environment. QUALIFICATIONS Applicants should have A Masters degree or PhD in Electronics, networks, telecommunications or equivalent Extensive knowledge in image processing, compression and computer vision techniques optical imaging payloads, signalimage quality simulation of signal processing functions Matlab, Python, C, etc Additional assets are knowledges or familiarities in machine learning techniques prediction, classification, semantic segmentation, computational imaging techniques stabilization, superresolution, active optics, procurement of demonstrator units, subsystem integration and testing LOCALISATION Clemessy Netherlands BV, with onsite fulltime position in ESTEC premises Noordwijk, NL.
