Oregonians threw away more, recycled less in 2014

A new report from the state Department of Environmental Quality says people in Oregon sent more garbage to landfills and recycled less in 2014. However Peter Spendelow, a DEQ solid waste analyst, told the Statesman Journal the state beat its recycling target and continues to rank near the top nationwide for recycling rates.
