Aurora is an established supplier of skilled manpower to ESA and in particular at ESTEC and ESAC. Aurora has the opportunity to expand our support to ESA in the domain of TECPAE Dependability Safety Support Engineer. Overview The postholder will provide support to the section activities in the area of quality, with specific focus on ESA internal and external Alerts. Typical duties are Supporting the ESA internal and external Alert processes and systems coordination Supporting the ESA Alerts Focal Point in interfacing with the Industry users Liaising with designated organisations for the coordination of the Alerts Supporting the organisation and activities of the ESA Alert Committee EAC Supporting coordination ESA Alerts technical working groups Collecting information from Technical Experts on potential new Alerts and monitoring the feedback on released ESA Alerts Implementing interface agreements with external Alert systems Performing a yearly status review of all active internal and external Alerts Maintaining of the lists of manufacturers, experts and processing of the user system subscriptions Contributing to the improvement and promotion of the ESA Alerts System Tools Screening of the internal ESA Alerts to determine, if they meet the criteria for an ESA External Alert Reporting on the associated KPIs status and Objectives achievement Supporting the suppliers evaluation process , this may include support to audits planning, organisation and execution Support the operations and improvements of the internal Quality Management Systems. Duties may also include supporting other activities within the post, relevant to the experience of the candidate. Specific qualification Requirements MSc. or PhD in Engineering, preferably related to space. Experience in Space RD and projects engineering. Auditing training and experience. Ability to work independently and establish good working relations with relevant actors in ESA and Industry. Good communication skills. Knowledge of ESA and its programmes and projects is highly desirable. Broad knowledge of current developments in the space industry. Experience with Risk Management methodology is an asset. Fluency in English both written and spoken is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. Legal and Security Requirements All applicants must be legally allowed to work in The Netherlands Applicants are required to provide a copy of their passport and degree certificate. Aurora will validate the Degree with the issuing University and provide evidence to ESA. Prior to issuing a letter of employment the applicant shall provide to Aurora a recent official document declaring that they are of good conduct from the country where currently resident. Location The work will be performed at the European Space Technology and Research Centre ESTEC at Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Contract The selected candidate will receive good remuneration in line withESA Job Class. Will be registered for both social security and tax in the Netherlands. The standard working hours are 40 per week. There are 12 public holidays and an additional 30 annual days holiday. Training to improve efficiency and provide strength for future career are of course included. Aurora assist with relocation both with support and financially.
