Job Description We are looking for a PA and Safety Support Engineer on behalf of the European Space Agency ESA for their location in Noordwijk, The Netherlands, to support the Galileo Ground Segment PA Unit in all the activities related to the execution of the Galileo Ground Segment and Software Product Assurance and Safety Programme. Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe and not by ESA. The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to Tasks and Responsibilities Guide and monitor the implementation of Ground Segment and Software PAS requirements in order to assess performanceeffectiveness participate in design reviews and direct the necessary preventive or corrective actions Support the process for evaluation and approval of waivers and deviations Support the project nonconformance process and attendanceorganization of nonconformanceanomaly and software review boards as necessary Ensure the implementation of the Ground Segment and Software PA Requirements baseline across the applicable Galileo Ground Segments Monitor the ground segment and software integration and test activities with quality audits, test witnessing and configuration inspections Support the definition of the formal acceptance requirements and conduction of acceptance reviews of all contractual deliverable items Ensur the preparation of design tradeoffs, analyses and reports using RAMS data to support project decisions Support security and cybersecurity activities for ground segments as appropriate Support the maintenance of the Navigation Directorate Quality Management System Guide and monitor the application and procurement of EEE parts, materials and processes and controlling implementation of applicable requirements Produce reports on guidance provided, monitoring activities performed and status of compliance to applicable requirements. Support to launch campaigns. Requirements PhD or Msc in Engineering or technical sciences from a recognised Institution of secondary studies or equivalent Minimum of 10 years experience in the space sector including 5 years in Product and Quality Assurance Relevant experience in PAS in the space domain Experience with software engineering development, maintenance or testing Experience with Agile practices for software development Handson experience with static code analysis and tools Experience with alternative software development lifecycles, continuous integration and tools Knowledge of Configuration Management or the implementation of Product Assurance within a quality system certified to ISO 9001 would be an asset Excellent interpersonal skills are needed, together with a high degree of organizational and communication abilities, and comfortable with working in a diverse and multinational team environment Candidates must be eligible for security clearance from their national security administration..
