Position Reference EMSSWP330201 We are currently looking for a PDGS System Engineer to work for our client in the city of Frascati, Italy. The key person will provide system engineering support to the PDGS Payload Data Ground Segment Common Services section in ESAESRIN. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Review Technical documentation and actively participate to support PDGS maintenance and evolution activities and projects e.g. by supporting SRR, PDR, CDR, QR, AR, ORR milestones. Support elaboration of SoWs with the provisioning of high level technical specifications and other applicable and reference documents for software evolutions. Contributing to support the maintenance of high level end to end PDGS Common Services technical documentation e.g. end to end operational scenarios, functional specifications, operational concepts, . Provide Engineering Support to ESA in the execution of adhoc activities derived from the change control board processes e.g. by providing support to the technical assessment of implementation proposals, by monitoring the execution of the overall delivery process until the final deployment in operations. Support the ESA Service Manager in the technical analysis and monitoring of the implementations made by the industry in order to ensure the compliancy with the requirements of the request. Participate at technical meetings and to communication meetings with the client either by providing contributes to the presentation or directly by presenting. Manage the different stakeholder involved in the activities to which heshe will be assigned e.g. the ESA Service Manager, the industry representatives, the other services. Prepare the transfer to operation plans and coordinate the transfer to operation process for new systems, complex configurations, new services or existing systems impacted by major changes. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory Master degree or equivalent in a relevant technical or scientific discipline e.g. Space system engineering. Good general knowledge of the ESA PDGSs. Strong and demonstrated background in system engineering. Experience with programming and technical applications. Teamwork. Good communication and technical writing skills with capabilities to synthesize. Good organization skills. Methodical and proactive, with initiative and capability to work autonomously. Problemsolving and creativityoriented attitude. Proficiency in written and spoken English. The following skills would be highly desirable Experience in ESA internal engineering processes. Knowledge of Earth Observation context. Experience in ESA applied standards e.g. ECSS and applications e.g. ServiceNowTellUS. Knowledge in service provisioning e.g. ITIL and in project management e.g. PMIPMP. How to Apply Looking to take your career to the next level?
