PFSweb Responds To Engine Capital Proposal; Speed Commerce Remains Silent

Earlier this week activist shareholder Engine Capital delivered a letter to both PFSweb and Speed Commerce , outlining reasons why it believed that a merger of the two companies would benefit shareholders. In addition to creating a larger entity to compete more effectively with eBay Enterprise instead of "having the number-two and number-three players [PFSweb and Speed Commerce] compete against each other for business", the Engine Capital letter outlined potential cost savings that it believed would create significant additional value for shareholders.
