PPG to shut glass plant in Burlington, Iowa

The Associated Press reported the plant's 29 employees were told last week about the closing, which will take place by May 1. The employees could transfer to PPG facilities in Wichita Falls, Texas, or Carlisle, Pa., according to the newspaper. The Burlington plant makes raw glass, which isn't used as much due to the sale last year of its Mt.
