Pair of local railroad crossings to receive upgrades

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio has approved funding authorization from the Ohio Rail Development Commission directing the following rail crossing warning device upgrades: Norfolk Southern Railway: Installation of LED lights, new gates mechanisms and upgraded circuitry at the crossing at N. Kenova Street in the village of South Point, Lawrence County. CSX Transportation: Installation of flashing lights and gates at the crossing at Shirk Road/County Road 224, near Marysville, Union County.
