Palmetto Pipeline battle raging in Georgia could stop in Jacksonville next

Aug. 4, 2014 - The Palmetto Pipeline goes public with the announcement by Texas-based Kinder Morgan Energy Partners that it is launching what is known as a binding open season, the process by which pipeline companies solicit commitments from potential customers. It says the $1 billion Palmetto Project would move gasoline, diesel and ethanol through a 360-mile pipeline running from Belton, S.C., to Jacksonville.
