And, for many years, Bauer Manor gave those dining on a fine meal an added glimpse back to the days when the stagecoach was the preferred method of travel through the scenic Irish Hills. "In the early 1970s you had to have a reservation to get in," said Jim Van Doren, son of longtime Bauer Manor owners Kenneth and Mary Van Doren.
