Peet's expanding in a crowded Chicago coffee field

Peet's Coffee & Tea plans to open its 17th area store Monday in the historic Wrigley Building and sees potential to double its number of locations in Chicago's already crowded coffee shop market over the next few years. Now, Peet's is seeing sales at those shops exceed sales trends when they were Caribou shops by about 20 percent, on average.
