Pepperell man is charged after striking officer in breakdown lane

A Pepperell man has been accused of driving into a breakdown lane and hitting a police officer with his passenger-side mirror in New Hampshire before speeding off. Police said Zachary Rowland, of Pepperell, was charged early Saturday with conduct after an accident, disobeying a police officer and aggravated driving while intoxicated.
