Pfizer acquires Swiss vaccine developer

As part of an ongoing effort to expand its vaccine business, Pfizer Inc. announced Monday that it has acquired a controlling interest in Redvax GmbH. The deal gives Pfizer access to Redvax's human cytomegalovirus vaccine candidate in preclinical testing, along with the company's intellectual property and a technology platform related to a second, undisclosed vaccine program.
