Pig farmers urge to prepare for new VFD rule now

National Pork Producers Council chief veterinarian, Liz Wagstrom, sat down with National Hog Farmer staff to discuss the new Veterinary Feed Directive rule and the changes soon coming to the farm.  The new Veterinary Feed Directive and prescription changes for water-based antibiotics go into effect on Jan. 1, 2017 but the transition period is starting now.
