The Franklin County Board of Supervisors did the right thing Tuesday by approving a resolution asking Gov. Terry McAuliffe to do whatever it takes to make sure construction of the proposed Mountain Valley Pipeline is monitored closely, if it is indeed built. The fear is that the Department of Environmental Quality would not have the manpower to properly oversee construction of the 42-inch natural gas line that would cross the length of Franklin County from Cahas Mountain to near Penhook.
