Crude oil and naphtha prices were tumbling further this Monday in Asia, offering larger margins to downward polyester intermediate and fiber producers. Operating rates are significantly raised at PTA and fiber plants in China, as stocks are being replenished by downward processors. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices.
