PTA and MEG prices have moved into opposite directions in the last week, reflecting very different operating rates in China. Paraxylene prices have dropped further, as production stays at a high level. MEG ACPs have reached a 10-year low. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices.
