PTA and MEG prices have stabilized in Asia after sharply falling in March from recent peaks. Demand remains strong after polyester use has been supported by relatively lower cost compared with cotton. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices. PTA and MEG prices are available for import and domestic markets in China and India. All data are available for download.
