Polyester intermediate prices rose significantly in the past week over firm demand from polyester producers. Operating rates could be lowered at PTA and MEG plants in China, nevertheless. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices. PTA and MEG prices are available for import and domestic markets in China and India. All data are available for download.
