The crude oil rally may force the petrochemical producers in lowering their operating rates to keep their gross margins in positive territory. Polyester prices could find strong support as a result. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices.
