Crude oil prices sharply declined in the last week in line with an expected fall in consumption over Delta variant spreading. However, PTA and MEG resisted any decline. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices. PTA and MEG prices are available for import and domestic markets in China and India. All data are available for download.
