Polyester staple fiber and filament prices have increased significantly in the last seven days in China, over a rise in material costs. Large stocks are accumulated at filament plants and spinning mills, however, which could eventually pressure fiber prices. Our weekly report covers the Polyester Staple Fibers (PSF) on the domestic markets in China, India, and Pakistan. Polyester filament prices in China are also released, whereas the report includes a price comparison of polyester with cotton and viscose in China.
