Polyester fiber prices have bottomed out in the last days in China, after crude oil prices stabilized on the global market. Polyester prices are structurally supported by a fall in capacity expansion growth in the last two years. Our weekly report covers the Polyester Staple Fiber (PSF) and Polyester Filament Yarn (PFY) prices on the domestic market, including a price comparison with cotton and viscose. The gross margin of polyester spun yarn producers is also released.
