Primary Purpose of the Role We are currently presenting an exciting opportunity as a Profolio Engineer to work as part of a team to monitor, develop and enhance the portfolio of products and services offered by Inmarsat. The individual will provide and facilitate timely, accurate and highquality status reporting in line with Management expectations and ensure all reporting is consistent, accurate, comprehensive and appropriate. The individual will monitor changes to project status, tracking risks and issues, flagging to line management important updates where appropriate. Key responsibilities of the position Maintain a library of project documents and ensure that procedures are in place to archive. Support the phased roll out of Inmarsats kanban and portfolio management tools, acting as the focal point for queries within the Programme Management Office. Where necessary, promote, evangelise and provide guidance to colleagues on the project realisation process and best practice. Act as a point of liaison within the Programme Management Office for the standalone divisions within Inmarsat ensuring continual information flow. Ensure adherence to current standards and practices to ensure improved overall group governance. Essential knowledge and skills Experience of multiparty report aggregation and preparation for senior executives. Understanding of project life cycle and experience of project management tools. Ability to produce project documentation WBS, Status Reports, ActionRisk Logs, Project Plans. Experience of project tracking, progress reporting and change and configuration management. Excellent interpersonal and communication tactful and able to build relationships. A high degree of organisation skill with excellent attention to detail. Highly driven within a dynamic and positive style. An ability to work under pressure against short timescales. Desirable knowledge and skills Experience of Inmarsat business and service. Experience of directly applying project management methodology e.g. Prince2, PMI. Which of the Inmarsat qualities IQs are fundamentally important to this job?
