SUMMARY OF 200 PM PDT...2100 UTC...INFORMATION ---------------------------------------------- LOCATION...13.3N 123.9W ABOUT 1130 MI...1820 KM WSW OF THE SOUTHERN TIP OF BAJA CALIFORNIA MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS...30 MPH...45 KM/H PRESENT MOVEMENT...WSW OR 240 DEGREES AT 7 MPH...11 KM/H MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE...1009 MB...29.80 INCHES WATCHES AND WARNINGS -------------------- There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect. DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Post-Tropical Cyclone Eight-E was located near latitude 13.3 North, longitude 123.9 West. The post-tropical cyclone is moving toward the west-southwest near 7 mph (11 km/h), and a slow motion toward the southwest is expected during the next couple of days. Maximum sustained winds are near 30 mph (45 km/h) with higher gusts. The remnant low is expected to persist with little change in strength during the next 48 hours. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1009 mb (29.80 inches). HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND ---------------------- None.
