SUMMARY OF 800 PM PDT...0300 UTC...INFORMATION ---------------------------------------------- LOCATION...20.1N 115.0W ABOUT 380 MI...610 KM WSW OF THE SOUTHERN TIP OF BAJA CALIFORNIA MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS...30 MPH...45 KM/H PRESENT MOVEMENT...ESE OR 120 DEGREES AT 7 MPH...11 KM/H MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE...1009 MB...29.80 INCHES WATCHES AND WARNINGS -------------------- There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect. DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 800 PM PDT (0300 UTC), the center of Post-Tropical Cyclone Ignacio was located near latitude 20.1 North, longitude 115.0 West. The post-tropical cyclone is moving toward the east-southeast near 7 mph (11 km/h), and a turn toward the southeast and south is expected on Wednesday. Maximum sustained winds are near 30 mph (45 km/h) with higher gusts. Weakening is expected, and the system is forecast to dissipate by Wednesday night. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1009 mb (29.80 inches). HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND ---------------------- None.
