Power outage of unknown origin affects 3,000 homes in Henderson

More than 3,000 NV Energy customers lost power about 10:45 this morning, most of them along U.S. Highway 95. The NV Energy website reported a confirmed power outage occurred at 10:49 a.m. Most of the outages are in ZIP Code 89015 in the southeast valley. At 11:40 a.m. the website showed that just over 500 customers had been restored but that 2,451 customers remained without power.
