Prairie agriculture industry faces a growing shortage of good help

There was a time on Prairie farms when having large families was about more than long, cold winters, no television and abstinence as the only reliable form of birth control. Children have historically been an important source of labour on the farm, enlisted from an early age to help out with the multiple tasks that went into day-to-day operations.
