Spaceopal ProcurementBid Manager Spaceopal is the prime contractor for operating the European Galileo Satellite Navigation System. Galileo will provide highquality positioning, navigation and timing services to users across the whole world as a civilcontrolled service. Spaceopal is managing a European industrial team providing all operational services of the Galileo Ground and Space Segment. For our highly expertized team, we are looking for a ProcurementBid Manager In close cooperation with the Procurement Director you will procure and manage complex space operations contracts Your core responsibilities are to evaluate managerial, contractual and financial impacts of changes of the Galileo Operations Contract in close coordination with our technical experts. to prepare Change Requests or Request for Proposals to Subcontractors. to evaluate and coordinate large subcontractor proposals and negotiate them to prepare Change Proposals and negotiate them with the main customer ESA to coordinate the Spaceopal experts for the proposal preparation to prepare proposals for additional business opportunities. to support the Procurement Director by providing progress and activity reports Your profile you have a good understanding of space technologies and preferable a satellite operations engineering background. experienced and capable to autonomously organize, write and negotiate proposals in the space environment andor changes to a complex operations contract you have at least 5 years of experience in a comparable position a good knowledge of ESA and EC procurements you are able to lead a proposal team we expect you to be proactive and to work selfdependent but as well in a team your English is business fluent you are available to frequently travel in Europe Experience in Galileo System is welcome you are familiar in handling classified documentation or willing to apply for a personal security clearance The position is full time.
